R. Scott Morgan is AVP & Controller of Anacostia Rail Holdings Company and subsidiaries, including South Shore Freight. Prior to this position he was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Central Properties and Vice President and Controller of the Chicago and North Western Transportation Company. Mike Shore is Superintendent. He joined the company on in 2012 as Superintendent. Mike has over 17 years in the railroad industry including management positions with Burlington Northern, BNSF Railway, Belt Railway of Chicago and most recently, Chicago Rail Link, where he was General Manager. Mike’s focus as Superintendent is supervision of all aspects of the Transportation Department with a particular emphasis on service reliability and safety. Mike has a BA and MBA from Aurora University. Charles T. Compton is Vice President Business Development, with 28 years of sales and marketing experience in the railroad industry. Chuck began his railroad marketing career with the Illinois Central, and has worked for the Columbus & Greenville Railway, The Iowa Interstate Railroad and the Chicago and North Western Transportation Co. prior to joining the South Shore in 1994. His background also includes experience in rates, divisions, interline accounting, billing and contract administration. He recently completed the Certificate in Executive Management program at the University of Notre Dame. Andrew R. Laurent is Director of Marketing & Sales. He joined the South Shore in 2008 after working for six years as a Project Manager for the City of South Bend Economic Development Division where he gained experience in real estate and development. He graduated from Ball State University in 2000 with Bachelor degrees in city planning and environmental design. He manages pricing for our metals commodity groups, and is responsible for growing and diversifying our traffic and customer base. Dennis P. Eldridge is Manager Train Operations with ten years of transportation experience. He has held previous positions including brakeman, conductor, and trainmaster. He is responsible for overseeing and managing day to day operations. Dennis is pursuing a business degree from Purdue North Central. Linda E. Hock is Manager of General Accounting and brings more than 25 years of accounting experience to the South Shore. Linda received her B.S. in Accounting from Purdue University in 1992, and has a full range of accounting and computer experience. Prior to joining the South Shore in 1995, Linda was an internal auditor for a major electrical supplier. Bruce Kehe is Chief Mechanical Officer. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Valparaiso University in 1979. Following graduation, he held various positions in the Industrial Engineering and Mechanical Departments at the Elgin, Joliet & Eastern Railway, including General Foreman Locomotives, Manager Mechanical Services, Manager Car Department, and Manager Locomotive Department. Upon CN’s acquisition of the EJ&E in 2010, Bruce was appointed General Foreman at the CN’s Woodcrest Locomotive Shop. In 2011, he joined the Gary Railway – working primarily with Car Department operations. Bruce joined the South Shore in May, 2012 as our Chief Mechanical Officer. He is a past President of the Locomotive Maintenance Officers Association and the Chicago Railroad Mechanical Association. He continues to serve on the Board of Directors for both organizations.
